A good-looking website and a lead-generating website are not the same thing. Here is what usually gets in the way, and what to change.
Most business owners assume that once the website is live, the enquiries will follow. When they do not, it rarely means the site is broken. It usually means the site was built to look good rather than to do a job.
A website generates leads when every page makes the next step obvious, and when the people arriving are the people you actually want to hear from.
The usual culprits
When we review a site that is not converting, the same handful of issues come up again and again:
- No single, clear action on each page, so visitors are left to figure it out themselves.
- Copy that talks about the business instead of the reader's problem.
- Slow pages, so people leave before the content ever loads.
- Traffic that never arrives, because the site was never set up to be found.
Not sure which of these is holding you back?
Book a short call and we will walk through your site with you and point out what to fix first.
Get a Second OpinionWhere to start
Pick one page, usually the home page, and decide the single action you want a visitor to take. Then make that action impossible to miss, and cut anything that competes with it. Small, deliberate changes like this tend to move the needle far more than a full redesign.
